40 Days After Insulinoma Surgery

Cashew is doing well!

Blood glucose at the lowest levels (in the morning after she woke up) was at 92

She gets a little variety in her food now and she loves it.

Found this on Amazon and looks like it's made from a good recipe.

Everyday boiler plate routine

• wakes up
• eat breakfast
• goes out for a morning walk with dad
• self cleaning / take a nap
• lunch
• nap in the yard / ball time / continuously bugging anyone in the house to please come out to play
• dinner at dinner table.  Usually gets 2-3 different kinds of food now
• walk around the neighborhood + play fight with me.  If she has extra energy, she usually runs around the house by herself.
• sleep

Life is good - month after surgery

Life has been great.  I think I owe Cashew a trip to the beach and the forest.

No more zonisamide

No more insulin

just the good old Cashew, I can't believe it.

Dr. Catherine Rivara said Cashew has graduated, but that 3 month check-up will always be a tap on the shoulder to remind me that it's cancer and to enjoy everyday with her.

BG without insulin is 109mg/dL

Normal range is 80-130mg/dL

She sleeps in the little sun that comes in

Loves to go out.  Can be out there for hours if no one stops her.

Made her salmon the other day.  No seasoning.  Just baked at 450 degrees for 12-15 mins.
I think for her size, 12 mins is fine.

She annoys me whenever an Amazon package arrives.  😂

Insulinoma Dog's Blood Glucose is back to normal after surgery

Cashew has not had insulin for 24 hours and I tested her blood glucose.

Normal range is between 80-120mg/dL.

She was at 127mg/dL without food so slightly higher, but I think this is acceptable.

Today's BG test without a meal for 15 hours.  With no insulin shots for 24 hours

She got used to the lifestyle of having food brought to her mouth
