I can't believe it's almost 3.5 years since Cashew's insulinoma surgery! She's now almost 16 and she's doing well!
Her vision has good days and bad days, but she can smell when someone comes in the front entry from anywhere in the house.
She still starts hopping and skipping around the house when "walk" is mentioned.
Her schedule is pretty set everyday.
Cashew still wants to join the dinner table everyday with grandpa and grandma. Grandpa hooks it up with human food so she likes to sit between them.

Hi Kenji, it’s been ages since I have contacted you. Just checking in on the gorgeous Cashew. He is getting on in age now isnt he? Is he well?
Best regards,

Hey Andrea!
This is insane. I just checked my blog randomly today. I haven't done so in nearly 2 years and the one time that I do, there is a comment from you! I can't help but think that there's something going on that we can't explain yet. 🤔
Cashew passed away at 16 (a month away from 17). This was in August 2024. As nurses have warned me, all sorts of things started to break down towards the last 2-3 months, but I still believe that she beat insulinoma which happened at age 12! I couldn't stop crying for a month and honestly, still do. 😅
It's been some time and I finally feel comfortable talking about it. Thank you Thank you for checking up all the way from Australia, Andrea! Dogs are the best!
